Only one Nishan-e-Haider has been awarded to the Pakistan Air Force.

This was given to Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

Nishan-e-Haider literally means "Emblem of Lion."

Explanation

On 3 October 2024, President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the Nishan-e-Pakistan, the country’s highest civilian award, on Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

 The award was given in recognition of his unwavering support for Islamic causes and his strong friendship with Pakistan.
