Hazrat Umer (R.A) introduced the Jail System in Islam

Hazrat Umer was the second caliph of Islam.

He ruled from August 634 until his assassination in 644.

He was the father-in-law of the prophet Muhammad. 

He became the first Muslim to pray at the Kaaba openly. 

He has participated in almost all battles

He embraced Islam when he was about 32 years old in 616 AD.
