Hadith also means the reported speech or taqreer of the successors to the companions of the Messenger of Allah.

1. ISNAD (Sequence of Reporters) – This is the chain of narrators through which the Hadith has spread.
2. TARAF (Introductory Text) – This is the beginning of the text which refers to the actions or characteristics of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
3. MATN (Content) – This is the main text of the Hadith, or the actual speech of the Prophet ﷺ.

According to the classical science of hadith, there are three primary ways to determine the authenticity (sihha) of a hadith:

1.       by attempting to determine whether there are "other identical reports from other transmitters";
