The Objectives Resolution was made a substantive part of the Constitution of 1973 through Presidential Order 14 of 1985 during General Zia-ul-Haq's regime.

It is also known as the Revival of Constitution Order.

The order made the Objectives Resolution an integral part of the Constitution through Article 2A of the Eighth Amendment.

The order took effect on March 2, 1985.
