Abd Ar-Rahman ibn Sakhr was one of the companions of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and the most prolific narrator of hadith.

He was known by the kunyah Abu Hurayrah "Father of a Kitten",

Hadith is mainly the saying of Prophet Mohammad, and it consists of two parts:

first is “Isnad”; which is the series of persons (narrators) who report (narrate) Hadith,

and the second is “Matn”; which is the saying or the narration itself.

Abu Hurairah is credited with narrating at least 5,374 hadiths.
