If the volumes of two cubes are in the ratio 8:1, then the ratio of their edges is

Answer: 2:1

Let $V_{1}$ and $V_{2}$ be two volume of cubes.
$l_{1}$ and $l_{2}$ be edges of the two cubes.
We know that,
Volume of cube $V = l^{3}$
So,
$\Rightarrow$    $\frac{V _{1}}{V _{2}} = \frac{l _{1}^{3}}{l _{2}^{3}}$

$\Rightarrow$    $\frac{8}{1} = (\frac{l _{1}}{l _{2}})^{3}$ [ Given ]

$∴$    $l _{2}$
