The average age of seven persons in a group is 30 years. The average age of five person of this group is 32 years. What is the average age of the other two persons in the group?
Answer: 25 years
Explanation
Average age of 7 persons = 30years
Sum of age of persons = 30×7 = 210 years
Average age of 5 persons = 32 years.
Sum of ages of 5 persons 32×5 = 160 years
∴ Sum of age of remaining two persons = 210 - 160 = 50years
∴ Average of remaining two is = 50/2= 25years
