Explanation

The province of NWFP (North-West Frontier Province) was renamed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 19, 2010.

It following the 18th Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan, with 90 votes in favor.

NWFP was established in 1901.

At the time of Pakistan's independence in 1947, the Indian National Congress was a significant political party in NWFP.
