Explanation

The 1973 Constitution recognizes Urdu as Pakistan's only national language.

The 1973 Constitution contained:

•  280 articles
•  07 schedules with Objective Resolution.
• 12 chapters

The Constitution declared Pakistan an Islamic Republic and Islam as the state religion.

Confusion

Urdu is the national language of Pakistan since 14 August 1947.

In 1954 Urdu and Bengali were declared the national languages of Pakistan.

The 1973 Constitution recognizes Urdu as Pakistan’s only national language.
