Explanation

The First Mysore War (1767–1769) was fought between the English East India Company and Haider Ali of Mysore.

It ended with the Treaty of Madras in 1769.

• Second Mysore War (1780–1784): Fought between the English and Haider Ali, later Tipu Sultan; ended with the Treaty of Mangalore.
• Third Mysore War (1790–1792): Fought between Tipu Sultan and the English, ending with the Treaty of Seringapatam.
• Fourth Mysore War (1799): Fought between Tipu Sultan and the British; Tipu Sultan was killed, and Mysore was brought under British control.
