Explanation

The Chinese Civil War took place from 1927–1949.

The war involved the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Nationalist Party (KMT) fighting for control of China.

The war had two phases:

First phase: August 1, 1927–December 26, 1936

Second phase: August 10, 1945–December 7, 1949
