Explanation

• The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, were said to be located in present-day Iraq, and were watered by the Euphrates River.
• According to ancient accounts, the gardens were built by the Neo-Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar II (605-562 BCE) for his wife, Queen Amytis, who missed the green hills and valleys of her homeland, the Kingdom of Media (modern-day Iran).
