• East: The Arabian Sea
• West: Djibouti
• South: The Guardafui Channel, the Socotra Archipelago, Puntland in Somalia, and Somaliland

The Gulf of Aden is about 900 kilometers long

It's an important waterway for transporting oil from the Persian Gulf
