On 22 July 2022, Russia and Ukraine signed grain exports deal, the first deal since 24 February 2022, both countries agreed to start shipping food via the Black Sea.

The landmark deal was meditated by UN secretary General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Recep Taayyip Erdogan.
