BIMSTEC stands for: Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation.

Members mebers: India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal and Bhutan.

Founded: 1997 in Bangkok

Note: Pakistan is not a member of BIMTEC
