QUAD consists of 4 countries:

• Australia
• India
• Japan
• the United States

It is the inter-governmental Security forum (Indo-Pacific)

QUAD stands for Quad or Quadrilateral Security Dialogue 

Established:

• 2007 (1st time); lasted until 2008
• 2017 (re-established after negotiations in November)
