In July 2024, International Court of Justice (ICJ) declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories illegal.

The ICJ has 15 judges, 11 of whom have ruled against Israel (in favour of Palestine)

Israel occupied the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip after defeating Arab countries in 1967.
