Explanation

In 2020–21, India witnessed a massive protest by farmers against three agricultural laws passed by the central government.

Farmers, mainly from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, camped on the borders of Delhi for months demanding repeal of the laws, which was later done in November 2021.
