Explanation

The Battle of Khandaq is also known as Battle of the Trench and the Battle of the Confederates.

It was a 27-day-long defense by Muslims of Yasrab (now Medina). 

The Battle of the Trench took place in Shawwal – Dhu al-Qi'dah, 5 A.H (627 C.E).
