Establishment of Islamic Institutions

Overview

The police force was first set up to maintain law and order in the Islamic States during the Caliphate of Hazrat Umar (R.A). Hazrat Umar (R.A) established the Islamic calendar, the department of finance, and the town planning department. He also established the police department to maintain law and order in the Islamic states.

Hazrat Umar (R.A) was a wise and just leader who played a significant role in the history of Islam. He was appointed by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as one of his companions and later became the second khalifa of Islam.

The establishment of the police force was an important milestone in the history of Islam and marked the beginning of the expansion of the Muslim empire. Hazrat Umar (R.A) was a key figure in this expansion and his leadership and wisdom are still studied by historians and scholars around the world.

Hazrat Umar (R.A) also formed a parliament namely Majlis e Aam and destroyed the idol “Sawa”. He was born in 581 A.D and was martyred in 644 A.D.
