Explanation

Three radio stations existed at the time of Pakistan's independence on 14 August 1947:

1. Peshawar (established 1935)
2. Lahore (established 1937)
3. Dhaka (established 1939)

Islamabad houses the largest radio station in Pakistan.

It is operated by the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC).

It is known as Radio Pakistan, the country's largest state media network.
