Explanation

The Kunar River is also known as the Chitral River: 

Location:

• The Kunar River is a 480 kilometer (300 mile) long river that flows through both northern Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan.
• It originates from the Chiantar glacier, which is located on the border of Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral.

Flow:

• The river flows south into the upper Kunar Valley in Afghanistan, where it is called the Kunar River.
• It then joins the Kabul River near Jalalabad, and re-enters Pakistan.
• In Pakistan, it is known as the Chitral River again, and joins the Indus River at the city of Attock.

Basin:

• The Kunar River is part of the Indus River watershed basin. 

Other names:

• The Kunhar River is also known as Nain-Sukh, which means "eye's repose".
