On 8 May 2025, The Punjab government declared emergency in all hospitals of the province, allocating 50 percent of the total beds to meet any emergency situation, given the Indian missile attacks in various parts of the province.

India targeted Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh and Muzaffarabad.
