Explanation

Two soldiers were awarded the Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan's highest military honor, for their role in the Kargil War: 

Captain Karnal Sher Khan: A member of the 27th Battalion, Sind Regiment, who fought in the Battle of Tiger Hill 

Havildar Lalak Jan: A member of the Northern Light Infantry
