Freedom of Speech and Expression Constitutional Right

Explanation

Article 19 of constitution 1973 is that:

19- Freedom of speech, etc.

Every citizen shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression, and there shall be freedom of the press, subject to any reasonable restrictions imposed by law in the interest of the glory of Islam or the integrity, security or defence of Pakistan or any part thereof, friendly relations with foreign States, public order, decency or morality, or in relation to contempt of court,  [commission of] or incitement to an offence.

آزادی اظہار وغیرہ۔

ہر شہری کو آزادی اظہار رائے کا حق حاصل ہوگا اور صحافت کی آزادی ہوگی جو کہ اسلام کی شان و شوکت کے مفاد میں قانون کی طرف سے عائد کی گئی کسی بھی معقول پابندی کے ساتھ مشروط ہو گی۔ پاکستان یا اس کے کسی حصے کا دفاع، غیر ملکی ریاستوں کے ساتھ دوستانہ تعلقات، امن عامہ، شائستگی یا اخلاقیات، یا توہین عدالت، [کمیشن] یا کسی جرم پر اکسانے کے سلسلے میں۔

19A. Right to information:

Every citizen shall have the right to have access to information in all matters of public importance subject to regulation and reasonable restrictions imposed by law.

معلومات کا حق:

ہر شہری کو عوامی اہمیت کے تمام معاملات میں معلومات تک رسائی حاصل کرنے کا حق ہوگا ضابطے اور قانون کی طرف سے عائد کردہ معقول پابندیوں کے تابع۔
