Explanation

Hero's formula (also spelled Heron's) is used to find the area of a triangle when all three sides are known.

Heron's formula:

Area = √(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

where:

- a, b, and c are the lengths of the sides

- s is the semi-perimeter (s = (a+b+c)/2)
